Website refresh focused on modern presentation, mobile usability, and a portfolio-first project showcase.

Framing the Work for Savarino Companies.

At A Glance: Led the UX and UI design for a modern, mobile-friendly website refresh that highlights Savarino’s portfolio and makes it easier to explore work across Construction, Development, and Property Management. The experience was designed to feel sophisticated while still being easy to navigate and update over time (built by the 19 IDEAS development team).

Role: UI + UX Designer (Website Experience + Page Patterns)

Partners: 19 IDEAS Strategy + Development Team, And Savarino Stakeholders

Scope: Responsive Website Redesign, Sitemap Refinement, Filterable Project Portfolio, And Modular Page Components

Tools: Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop, InVision, And HTML/CSS Handoff Specs

Constraints.
  • Complex Offerings: communicate three pillars (Construction, Development, Property Management) without overwhelming users.
  • Portfolio First: project imagery needed to be the star while maintaining clarity and accessibility.
  • Maintainability: patterns needed to work inside a custom WordPress build for easy updates.
  • Mobile Usability: ensure the experience stayed fast and scannable on smaller screens.
What I Owned.
  • Information architecture and sitemap restructuring for clearer navigation.
  • Homepage and division page patterns designed around quick scanning and visual impact.
  • Filterable project portfolio UX for easier browsing and comparison.
  • Responsive layout behavior and handoff specs for development.
  • Content hierarchy to support both new business inquiries and in-progress project stakeholders.
Outcomes.
  • A modern, responsive presentation that highlights Savarino’s work with confidence.
  • A clearer sitemap and navigation model that makes content easier to find.
  • A modular system that supports ongoing updates in WordPress without redesigning pages.

Designed for Exploration.

Construction portfolios live or die on clarity and momentum. The experience was designed to help users move quickly from high-level credibility to specific projects, with consistent patterns across divisions and a filterable project library to support browsing and comparison.

Construction Showcase.

The new Savarino website design focused heavily on ease of use for presenting projects and featuring impactful imagery from those projects in responsive design.

Homepage Pattern.

Capabilities.

The homepage acts as a hub for Savarino’s three pillars: Property Management, Construction, and Development. The hero and supporting modules make it easy to understand the offering at a glance, then jump into the most recent featured work.

Information.

The experience also highlights recent news and provides clear calls to action for projects open for bid, exploring the full project list, and submitting qualifications for partnerships.

Filterable Company Projects.

With each of the three Savarino divisions I designed an overview page that describes what each of the companies does along with a filterable project portfolio.
